since a couple of days my xfire stopped working ingame when playing cod1 and coduo, any other game works.

ive tried reinstalling xfire, cod1 & coduo which didnt work

ideas ?

Tools > Options > Games > Call of Duty: United Offensive Multiplayer > Manual Setup > [change 'Game Path' to your CoD directory] > [make sure 'Disable Xfire In-Game' is NOT ticked]

If it still doesn't work, I got no clue.

i can take screens and stuff like that but i just cant open the chat window anymore,

when i try to by pressing scroll lock+x my game freezes and unfreezes, thats all it does

anyway my pc is just failing since a couple of weeks, ill just delete everything and reinstall windows in a few days

then try to change the in-game button on END or w/e,maybe it will help

hey,

Destiny dno if u already fixed it or not but I had that EXACT problem few months ago. messages popped up in the corner but when I tried to open xfire in-game it just froze for like 2 seconds then unfroze, but didnt show xfire.

Have u got a custom xfire skin atm? Try switching back to the default skin / theme. Also check you are running the game as an administrator and try setting compatibility mode for XP if it aint already.

I had no problems after that I think.... happy

yeh that was the exact problem

i fixed it together with my other problems by just doing a pc re-format

little extreme but fair enuf smile

my last pc I musta done about 20 re-formats in 2 months, couldnt work out why it was acting like it had a virus. Turned out 2 be a peice of RAM that was faulty since it came off the factory -.-

Don't beleive it, went home the other week and realised I still have this problem on my pc. Just screen freezes when I F10 + X and then unfreezes but doesn't load xfire window.

Game paths are fine, people can even see what server I am on I beleive too.

Normal xfire skin, windows vista, everything running as administrator, tried running uo in both XP compat. and default but no luck.

Lemme know if any1 knows / hears of a solution.

If not I'll just have to try a cod re-install nxt time i'm home.

There'll be a simpler solution im pretty sure lol. Just need to figure it out.
