hi,

I got a problem with call of duty uo with windows 7. I installed yesterday windows 7 and i can play cod uo now. BUT my fps i very low, its 40/80 and when i loook to the ground its 125. BUt before i had win 7 i had a fps like 150-250. I put sync every frame to NO but i doesnt work. That is one prob.

The second prob is that i cant play on full screen, i have got a piece of black on the left and right in my screen. You can see on the screenshot.
The 3rd prob is that the ppl are so black. It's like an shadow. The bombs are black, the trucks are black.. Even if i try to put the brightniss to full is it still Ugly.

I hope someone can help me, with the fps or the shadow. The full screen is not very important but it is just weird. When i turn the resolution to the lowest ( 680x480) or something :P I have full screen. But if i change that to the second (860x...) i dont have the full screen...

I hope you can see a bit of my prob on the ss..

bb

Try update ur graphic card

You cant update ur graphics cards because coduo wont work then. You've gotta get patch 9.0.02 or something like that which is also compatible on win7 then try it. Although since i got win7 my FPS as dropped to what u have in ur SS. Since coduo is pretty dead and old i dont think they are going to "fix the issue" so to say, in any future graphics card updates.

50fps is playable but it is annoying ;/

Oh look at me I'm med skilled on cod4 now im the best on any other game HEHEH! :D:D:D

uo works fine with the newest driver on xp.

Never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Hai, didnt want to make new topic, because its also about lovely Win7 and Call Of Duty. So, 1st 2 weeks on this OS didnt impress me but w/e. At least Cod worked, and now, it crashes whole system after 2 seconds in game. I must do a reset when it got freezed, nothing else works. Cod1, UO, Cod2 aswell. Same problems. Never did overclock so its not problem with overheating my pc stuff. Scanned with Norton360. Enybody had something like this?

ok for window 7 users heres a help for you playing @ full screen with decent brightness

[08:19] dN / sheva: i got 7 aswell
[08:20] esM! fin: im on vista and if im half screen pbss come through but then my fps takes a drop as well
[08:20] esM! fin: smurf plays half screen on 7 and his is through as welll
[08:20] esM! fin: btw can u play full screen on 7?
[08:20] dN / sheva: yeah
[08:21] dN / sheva: i always play on full
[08:21] esM! fin: smurf says there was something wrong with sorting out the brightness on it so u know what the problem is + do u still get 250fps or w.e u where getting normally
[08:22] dN / sheva: i was having problems with that aswell
[08:22] dN / sheva: first
[08:22] dN / sheva: i updated my drivers to latest ones
[08:22] dN / sheva: but it didnt work
[08:22] dN / sheva: then i updated it to driver before latest, didnt have problems with fps but brightness yeah
[08:22] dN / sheva: then i sorted that out
[08:23] dN / sheva: click on coduomp icon->properties->compatibility->run as windowsXP SP2
[08:23] dN / sheva: and its fixed now
[08:23] esM! fin: thought it would be similiar to the uo issue as i worked that out before
[08:24] esM! fin: right ill copy that bit of convo and add to the tech problem
[08:24] dN / sheva: when i updated to my latest drivers i could only play at resolution 1024x768 or lower
[08:24] dN / sheva: and i used to play 1600x1200
[08:24] dN / sheva: then i updated it to driver b4 latest
[08:24] dN / sheva: and it works
